Chapel Down is located in the beautiful Kent countryside, close to the picturesque market town of Tenterden, and is open to visitors throughout the year. Chapel Down offers a number of experiences from guided tours of the vineyard and winery, to gift experiences and the opportunity to lease your own vines. The winery has excellent visitor facilities, including a two AA Rosette restaurant ‘The Swan’ and the winery shop stocking their full range of wines and spirits, including some ‘cellar door’ exclusives, which are available to sample from the tasting bar. As well as a deli counter featuring locally produced cheese and charcuterie, and an array of gift hampers, accessories and glassware. Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds, the beautiful herb garden and vineyard walks. For the second year running, Chapel Down have been awarded the TripAdvisor ‘Travellers’ Choice Award’, placing them in the top 10% of attractions worldwide.
Chapel Down continues to build its status as the leading brand of the English wine industry, supported by its high-profile partnerships as the ‘Official English Sparkling Wine’ of England and Wales Cricket Board and Ascot Racecourse, amongst others. Its wines are well regarded by leading wine writers and in international wine competitions.
Nearest major road is A28. From the A28 in Tenterden, follow the B2082 towards Rye for 2.5 miles to Small Hythe. The vineyard is on the right.
Nearest station is Headcorn. Taxi from station or bus to Tenterden changing buses for the winery.
