Rustington Museum & The Garden Cafe
Rustington Museum is housed in a newly renovated Grade II listed, thatched cottage in the heart of Rustington village, opposite the Parish Church.
The museum tells the story of the village through the ages with changing exhibitions featuring the many artists, musicians and writers that found inspiration in Rustington in days gone by as well as local history displays from early Roman and Medieval settlement right through to the First and Second World War.
The Garden Café, a timber framed construction in the grounds of the museum, offers homemade vegetarian dishes, cream teas, cakes and much more and is now complimented with a community garden with a water feature, exotic plants, flowers and seating areas for everyone to enjoy.
This community project won a Sussex Heritage Trust Award in 2009.
