Nutbourne Vineyards

About

England’s Sussex countryside is an ideal wine growing area - gentle slopes protected by the South Downs with the same fertile green sand soil as Champagne in France.

Nutbourne Vineyards were first planted in 1980 and there are now 18 acres of vines in production.

We grow 7 different types of grape: - The Riesling Style: - Bacchus, Huxelrebe, Reichensteiner, Schönburger, Muller Thurgau, and some Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for our Sparkling blend.

Our total wine production is between 25,000 and 50,000 bottles per year.

As well as winning various awards and medals, Nutbourne wines all carry the EEC standard of “Quality Wine PSR” - the highest grading for wine in this country.

The Vineyard is open May to October
2pm – 5pm Every Weekday
11am – 5pm Weekends and Bank Holidays

There is ample parking, but we regret that due to restricted access we are unable to permit large coaches to come to the vineyard.
