Littlehampton Miniature Railway

Littlehampton Railway is built to the gauge of 12.25", the first of that type in the country.

The railway operates between Norfolk Gardens and Mewsbrook Park alongside the eastern promenade of Littlehampton Beach.

March to September - Open at the weekends and school holidays only 11am-5pm Please see website for additional times.

All our Stations are Disabled Access Regulations compliant.

Our train can accommodate one wheelchair. Please make yourselves know to the Driver or Guard in good time if you need assistance boarding the train.

Fares

Under 3 years: Free
3-11 inclusive: (Child) Return £2, single £1.50
12 and above: (Adult) Return £3, single £2

Well behaved dogs (one per Adult) may travel free.

Discounts:

Family 2+2: Return £9
10+ rides (Adult or Child): £2 per head

Group bookings over 25 at further discount (exclusive use of train). Please contact us in advance for prices and to make a booking.

Children under 8 years must be accompanied by an Adult (or responsible person 16 years and above) up to a limit of 4 per Adult.

TIR will endeavour to the best of our abilities to operate the train as advertised but reserves the right to change or amend any service pattern as required. TIR Ltd reserves the right to refuse to carry any person or persons.

Road Directions

Heading West on the A27, turn south onto the A284. Go straight over the Wick roundabout and follow the road to the juction with Franciscan Way. Turn left onto Franciscan Way and at the mini roundabout turn left again. Turn right at the next roundabout and follow the B2140 to the seafront. Turn left and continue along the B2140. Mewsbrook Park is on the left behind the swimming centre. There is some free parking on Hendon Avenue or a pay-and-display carpark by the swimming centre.

Public Transport Directions

Approximately 15 minute walk along the riverside and promenade from Littlehampton Rail Station and Anchor Springs main bus stop (outside Waitrose supermarket).
