Lavant House Equestrian Centre

Lavant House Equestrian Centre

Lavant House Stables always looks forward to the annual show, which has been running since 1958.
The show is a must for local horse-owners as well as our own liveries to take part in a professional yet friendly equestrian event and attracts a large number of spectators too. Every year we continue to build upon participant levels, which is a great result and proves the popularity of the event amongst the local equestrian sector, Lavant House Stables and of course our charity – Charlie’s Challenge.
The show is put together by a small dedicated committee and as always our sincere thanks go to all those that contribute, whether it be in a voluntary capacity, donations or sponsorship, all very much appreciated in these challenging economic times.
We are proud to continue supporting Charlie’s Challenge, a registered charity set up in 1993 to help raise funds into children’s brain tumours when the founders son, Charlie, was diagnosed with malignant brain tumours. Early in 2001 Lucy Thomson’s own son, who also happens
to be called Charlie and unbelievably has the same birthdate as the founder’s Charlie, was also diagnosed with malignant brain tumours.
Thankfully both Charlies were lucky enough to survive this terrifying condition. As a result Lavant House Stables supports the charity at every opportunity and we very much hope this year’s show will lead to another superb donation. To date we have raised just over £6,000 for
this worthwhile cause.
We hope you will join us and enjoy the day on 2nd May 2011.
