About

Chatham Ski Center has the longest artificial slope in the South East and is the premier wintersports facility in the region.

It is also part of the company that teaches more people to ski and snowboard than anyone else in the UK. The centre is located at Capstone Country Park, is open throughout the year and offers skiers and snowboarders of all levels the facilities to practice and learn new skills.

There is an active ski and snowboard club at the centre where you can meet and learn skills from others with similar interests. Facilities include a toboggan run; 200m ski slope; 30m nursery slope (skiing and snowboarding); 750M toboggan run; restaurant and bar.

Road Directions

Travelling from the north and south of the county, use junction 4 of the M2. Follow the brown tourist signs "Ski Centre" from the main link road. Take the first exit at the first roundabout, take the second exit at the next with the Hempstead Valley shopping centre on your right. Drive for about 1 mile going strigh on at the two mini roundabouts.

At the bottom of Pear Tree Lane hill take the first exit at the roundabout into Capstone Road. The centre is located about 3/4 mile up the road on the right hand side.
