Box Hill
An outstanding area of woodland and chalk downland, Box Hill has long been famous as a destination for day-trippers from London.
It has much to offer families, as well as ramblers and naturalists, with many beautiful walks and views towards the South Downs. On the summit there is an indoor café (opening summer 2012), small gift shop, servery, ample car parking and a magnificent view. The National Trust is delighted that Box Hill will host part of the men’s and ladies Olympic road cycle races in July 2012.
