Kelmscott Manor was the summer country home of William Morris, the poet, craftsman and socialist from 1871 until his death in 1896. The house which is open to the public, contains a collection of the possessions and works of Morris and his associates including furniture, textiles, carpets and ceramics. Surrounded by attractive gardens, with restaurant, shop and exhibition barn.

House & Garden: open every Wednesday and Saturday (April to October) 11am - 5pm - except Saturday 14th July 2012. Last admission to the house 4.30pm.

Please note that the Manor has limited visitor capacity and admission is by timed ticket.

Nearest major road is A4095. Three miles south east of Lechlade off the Lechlade to Faringdon road. Car park is 10 minutes' walk from Manor.
