St John the Evangelist (Hempton)

Hempton Church was built on land purchased in 1850 to the cost and design of Rev Willian Wilson of Over Worton. Over Worton also presented the Norman font which stands at the back of the Church. Part of the Church was used for the village school, this is now the Church Hall and is used for social events. The roof over the altar on the inside has a nice decorative material.

Only Open for services and special events.

Church of England Services:
1st & 3rd Sunday in month: Eucharist: 9am
4th Sunday in month: Evensong: 6pm
Extra services for Christmas & Easter.

Road Directions

From M40/J10 follow the A43 to Northampton and then the A4100 to Aynho at the Baynards Green roundabout. On the sharp right bend in Aynho village turn left to Deddington and continue until you reach Deddington village. Follow the road through the village to the crossroads and continue striaght on for Hempton on B4031. Hempton is 1.5miles from Deddington and the Church is situated on the right handside of the road in the centre of the village.
