St John the Baptist Church
This tiny church lies up a country lane, in the grounds of Eldon House.
It was substantially restored in 1729 to save it from collapse, and then again in the 1860s and in 1975. There are traces of nine consecration crosses from its original construction, please note that it is stands in a private garden and visitors are granted access only to visit the church. They may not sit on the grass or wander about freely.
