St Andrew's Church

None

Built over 900 years ago, the church contains fine examples of Norman architecture.

It also boasts two outstanding modern tapestries made by the people of Hamble. One, completed in 1994, tells the story of the church from monastic pig and oyster farming, to today's yachting and oil industry. The other, completed to celebrate the millennium, is a locally designed depiction of the Madonna and Child hung over the altar in the Lady Chapel.

There is also a new stained-glass West window of modern design depicting the founder of the church, St Bernard of Thiron.
