Ascott House and Gardens

Ascott House is a half-timbered Jacobean farmhouse, transformed by the de Rothschild family towards the end of the 19th Century and is home to an exceptional collection of paintings, fine furniture and superb oriental porcelain. The extensive gardens are an attractive mix of formal and natural, with specimen trees and shrubs and some unusual features.
Little known facts:
1. See one of the best small picture collections in Britain.
2. Tell the time by the unusal topiary sundial.
3. Relax in the Dutch Garden, whilst admiring the Eros Fountain.
