The Pearl Fisher
Type: Bed & Breakfast
The Pearl Fisher is ideally situated in a quiet, residential part of Whitstable's Conservation Area and is only a short stroll from Harbour Street, the seafront, town centre and railway station.
With our three themed rooms, each with en suite bathroom, our emphasis is on providing friendly, high-quality service and personal attention for each and all of our guests.
The Awabi Suite is a self-contained unit consisting of a double room, bathroom and lounge. The lounge contains a kitchenette and double sofa bed enabling the suite to be used for families.
The décor is chinoiserie though we have freely mixed the Chinese and Japanese styles to give the fullest flavour of the mysterious and romantic Orient that includes both these countries. We hope that you will experience the romance and charm of the East as well as the associated peace and tranquility when you stay in the Awabi Suite.
The Windsor Room has all the elegance befitting a room containing a magnificent 4-Poster bed. While your nostalgic and romantic senses are stimulated, 21st Century comforts are guaranteed with our modern, top-of-the-range mattresses and the equally elegant bathroom, containing bath, separate shower cubicle, sink and w.c. A single mattress can be positioned in the room, allowing small-family accommodation. Of course, as with all our rooms, there is T.V., video, CD player and radio, toiletries, bathrobes, and beverage-making facilities.
Old Saybrook is a small town in Connecticut, USA and was the home town of the late and great Katherine Hepburn. It has fond memories for us from our visit there and our room is an eclectic reflection of Colonial New England and its English influences. Themes of the sea echo throughout, whether it is the Eastern Seaboard of the USA, or Whitstable itself.
This room is light, sunny and exceptionally spacious, despite its King size 'sleigh bed', and is ideal for our Breakfast Room Service as well as being large enough to adapt for a family room.
Whitstable, famous for its oysters and once known as "The Pearl of Kent", still boasts a working harbour, gourmet restaurants, glorious sunsets, beach huts, watersports, two golf courses and yet can still offer an old-fashioned and quaint English seaside break for romantic couples or families.
Whitstable town is almost completely flat and is ideal for cycle explorations. For cycle trips, rambling or beach-days, we can provide Luxury Rucksack-Hampers for you to make up a lunch or we will make one up for you.
Single occupancy available at £45 per person per night.
