Cannon Barn

Cannon Barn is on Boring House Farm which is situated just outside the village of Vines Cross in the heart of the East Sussex countryside. Cannon Barn is an 1824 Sussex Wheat Barn with attached cow stall which has been sympathetically converted as much as possible within keeping of its character. Cannon Barn can sleep 10 people, there is 4 bedrooms and a very comfortable sofa bed in the games room which easily converts into a bedroom if necessary. Cots and highchairs can be supplied if necessary. There is a large garden with enough garden furniture for everybody and also a barbecue. We are well off the road which makes the barn very private and quiet.

If you come you will be able to read about the history of the farm and how Cannon Barn got its name. We are a working farm with breeding Ewes and a few cattle. There is a pond and a small trout stream on the farm that you are welcome to use. Also if you like walking there are plenty of footpaths in the area and various public houses nearby where you can quench your thirst, they serve delicious meals and are very child friendly. If you like cycling, very near us is the Cuckoo Trail, it is a disused railway line that has been made into a walking and cycling path that is extremely safe for children to use. The Cuckoo Trail runs from Heathfield to Polegate and is approximately 13 miles long. The farm is within easy reach of both the coast and various historical houses, castles and other places of interest. There is something for every age group and taste in the area
