Roman Painted House
The remains of a Roman mansio (hotel) recently discovered under Dover's New Street area, with remarkable early 3rdC frescoes, the best 'in situ' in Britain, and Roman central heating. Displays show the history of the Painted House and the Roman town of Dover. There is also a touch table and activities for children.
