Ightham Mote is the most complete English medieval moated manor house and dates from 1320. Come and see the results of the largest conservation programme ever undertaken by the National Trust on a house of its age and fragility. Take a step back in time and visit rooms dating from 1320 and spanning many centuries, including the Great Hall, Crypt, Tudor Chapel and Victorian Billiards Room. Free daily introductory talks, regular tower and garden tours offer visitors a value-added insight into the history of Ightham Mote. Enjoy the wider 550-acre estate using the Estate Walks leaflet. Children's house and garden trails and quizzes available, plus teachers' resource book. Full programme of events all year round, including children's half-term activities and family fun day.
