Guildford Castle
The Great Tower reopened after extensive renovations in 2004, including new floors and a roof which has made the building more accessible to visitors. The Tower contains a model of the original castle, circa 1300, and interpretation panels tracing its history to the present day. There is a visitor platform on the roof offering panoramic views of Guildford. There is a display on the ground floor including two models of the castle c1300, interpretation panels tracing the castle's history, a series of clips on DVD and a small gift shop.
Please note the castle is open April to September every day at 10am, final admision 16.30. It is open at weekends in March and October and autumn half term 10am until 15.30.

Road Directions
Turn right off the lower end of the High Street into Quarry Street. Continue for approximately 100m before turning left into Castle Street. The Castle is 100m on your right. Alternatively, walk through Tunsgate Arch opposite the Guildhall in the High Street. The castle grounds are at the end of Tunsgate.
Public Transport Directions
Guildford Castle is ten minutes walk from the railway station and five minutes walk from the bus station.
