Set amid rolling countryside, this enchanting place dates back to medieval times and has a serene and tranquil atmosphere. The gardens are designed as an inspirational series of outdoor areas through which you can stroll at your leisure, before enjoying a treat in the tearoom.

If you are feeling a little more energetic you can follow 'the Gentle Walk', a 30-minute circuit around the estate, created by the former owner Lady Brunner, for her husband.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOUSE IS CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 2009 for important reservicing and conservation work. Gardens and tearom remain open.
