Southwick
Evidence shows that Southwick has been continually occupied since 2000 BC. The Green was once common land used for grazing, but is now a focal point for much activity in Southwick from summer cricket to autumn fairs. The Manor Cottage is a listed building dating from the 14th century.
Southwick is a small town with a busy modern community shopping centre known as Southwick Square. There are several pubs, clubs a recreation ground, leisure centre, floodlit football pitch, churches, all kinds of sport including croquet and a community centre. The Barn Theatre has frequent concerts, operas, plays and other musical events. Shoreham Port is close by and access to the beach is possible on foot via the lock gates.
