Rodmell
Flint cottages topped with thatched roofs are part of the charming village of Rodmell. Leonard and Virginia Woolf who were members of the Bloomsbury Set once owned Monks House, in Rodmell. It is now a National Trust property, which is open to the public during the summer.
Rodmell today is a peaceful village which has a Norman church with an ancient marble font, said to be Saxon. It is a lovely place to visit on a walk along the riverbank.
