Piddinghoe was once at the heart of Sussex Smuggling. It is also famous for having the only remaining bottle-shaped brick kiln in the country. Piddinghoe church is one of three in the Ouse Valley with a round Norman tower.
Piddinghoe is popular with yachting enthusiasts who come to sail on the large stretch of water by the village.
