Petworth

Petworth is a picturesque town full of character and brimming with antique shops and winding streets. Amidst the variety of shops you will find the Petworth Cottage Museum taking you back in time to a typical estate worker's cottage of 1910. On the edge of the town stands the National Trust mansion of Petworth House, featuring paintings by Turner, Gainsborough and Reynolds. The popular Petworth Festival takes place in July and includes jazz, classical music, art exhibitions and lectures.
