Chailey

The 13th century parish church is at the heart of Chailey, one of the largest parishes in the district. It was once famous for its potteries because of the local clay deposits, and bricks are still made in the area.

North Chailey has a popular nature reserve of gorse and bracken. A well-preserved windmill is said to mark the exact centre of Sussex.
