Dine

DineDining well is an art, and, like the dishes themselves, it requires carefully chosen ingredients, as well as good company.

The South East of England is a great place in which to exercise your skills in selecting the right place for the right occasion.

Having a long coast line means there are a number of regional specialities; including oysters caught in Whitstable or fresh sole at Dover. For something special try lightly poached sole at 36 On The Quay in Hampshire or Pan Fried Organic Salmon at Jeremy's in West Sussex.

The choice of locations is irresistible. Dine by the sea, in quaint country villages, chic cities or in relaxing riverside settings. For that extra special occasion dine with a difference as you cruise on the waterways of the South East or steam through the countryside on a vintage train. This selection is available throughout the region, so little travel is required to find your ideal spot.

Fine DiningFor first-class food try one of our many top restaurants across the region including Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in Oxfordshire, The Fat Duck in Berkshire, Drake's in Surrey, Glasshouse in Kew, Granville in Kent, Thackeray's in Kent and The Vineyard at Stockcross in Berkshire. Not forgetting The Hungry Monk Restaurant in East Sussex where Banoffi Pie was invented in 1972. There is a complete range of ambiences from little, old, isolated pubs to grand houses and high street restaurants in ancient buildings.

With chefs like Raymond Blanc, James Martin and Phil Vickery in the kitchen it is no wonder that the region has two of only three 5 red rosette restaurants in England outside London and over a dozen 3 red rosetted. Treat yourself to a little indulgence!
