Creative “Ideas and Innovations” called upon for Art in the Dockyard

Following its success in 2006, the ‘Art in the Dockyard’ biennial competition and exhibition returns to The Historic Dockyard this year.  Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust invites artists and photographers from all over the South East to paint, sketch and photograph within the dockyard until 31^st August, after which they can enter their work in a competition and exhibition to be held from 13^th September to 2^nd November 2008.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Ideas and Innovations in the former Royal Dockyard” - which coincides with the theme of this year’s Museums and Galleries month which has just ended.  Prizes will be awarded for both Amateurs and Professionals for work in three different categories; Paintings, Photography and Mixed Media.
