Southampton Airport - top in Europe for helpful staff

Southampton Airport has been awarded a top accolade for customer service,by Airports Council International (ACI). The airport has been named as the European winner of the ACI Airport People Award 2008, for developing a strong customer service culture across the entire airport community. The airport has been voted number one in Europe by passengers for having the most courteous and helpful airport, airline and security staff.
The airport has been given the award as one of the top performing airports in the Airport Service Quality Survey (ASQ). The ASQ rankings are based on the results from nearly 200,000 questionnaires completed by passengers in 2007. The survey captures the passengers' immediate appraisal of 34 different airport service factors, from check-in through to departure at the gate. In 2007, 90 airports from around the world took part in the quarterly airport surveys.
