EXCITING NEW GROUP VISIT DEVELOPMENTS ENJOY WINDSOR'S ROYAL HERITAGE WITH GROUP VISITS TO THE ROYAL LANDSCAPE AND NEW COMBINED TICKET WITH WINDSOR CASTLE OR FROGMORE HOUSE

The Savill Garden, in The Royal Landscape, provides the perfect group travel destination and, combined with a visit to either Windsor Castle or Frogmore House, offers a unique royal heritage experience which is without parallel.

The Royal Landscape and the Royal Collection are, for the first time, offering a special combined visit to The Savill Garden and Windsor Castle, in addition to the popular combined ticket to Frogmore House. Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world. It is one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen and a working palace, offering an extraordinarily rich and varied visit. First established as a wooden fortress by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, Windsor Castle has been successively enlarged, rebuilt and refurbished by monarchs over 900 years. Frogmore House is set in Windsor's private Home Park. It was built in the 17th century and purchased in 1792 for George III's consort, Queen Charlotte, who had a passionate interest in botany. Frogmore is renowned for its beautiful landscaped garden and 18th century lake and has traditionally been a royal retreat..

The Royal Landscape's newly appointed Group Bookings Co-ordinator Carla Hall says:

"We have a new team here at The Royal Landscape and, for the first time, we have produced a dedicated Travel Trade and Group Organiser Information brochure to provide all of the information necessary to plan a visit. Here at The Royal Landscape we pride ourselves on being able to offer a personalised service to each group, meeting specific requirements to ensure that a visit is special. There is free coach parking, a discounted group rate, guided tours and access provision for those who are less able. We are also delighted to be able to offer the new combined tickets with the Royal Collection."

Shaped and cultivated under the patronage of Kings and Queens for over 250 years, The Royal Landscape comprises a thousand acres of woodland, lakes and gardens, at the south eastern end of Windsor Great Park. Groups can enjoy The Savill Garden, Valley Gardens and Virginia Water.

The Savill Garden is England's finest woodland and ornamental garden created by master landscaper Sir Eric Savill. It comprises over 35 acres of trees, shrubbery, ponds and streams, lawns, meadows and formal beds. The Garden has something spectacular to offer all year round.

The Valley Gardens were also landscaped by Sir Eric Savill and are set in the deep lakeside valleys which give them their name. They are a delight at any time of the year but reach their peak from March to June, when groups can enjoy the Azalea display for which the gardens are famous.

Virginia Water, once the largest man-made lake in Britain, was created as a playground for Kings and Queens. One can still trace the remains of its royal past in the remaining woodland and landscaped monuments.

The award winning Savill Building visitor centre is the gateway to The Royal Landscape. It includes the restaurant run by Leith's offering a wide range of hot and cold meals; and the shop which has a tempting selection of giftware, stationery and books, together with toys, fine foods and a plant boutique.
