Woodley is a town and civil parish in Berkshire, England. It is a suburb of Reading and is located near the towns of Earley and Wokingham.

Until the 1930s Woodley was a village of little significance. In that decade, Woodley Aerodrome was opened in a 100-acre field belonging to Sandford Farm.

After the Second World War, Woodley continued to grow, with industry relocating from Reading, and new housing and recently been voted in the top 20 safest places to live.

Things to do in Woodley

Woodley is home to one of three Skiplex indoor ski slopes and the centre boasts 2 slopes, a fully licenced bar, an alpine chalet lounge as well as a corporate room as well is it being the company's head office.  Covered with an Astroturf carpet, the revolving slopes are the fastest and most economical way to learn, train and gain – suitable for all ages and abilities from absolute beginners, right up to expert seasonnaires, and because it’s indoor skiing, you can ski whatever the weather.

Museum of Berkshire Aviation is situated in Woodley and is the contribution to aviation history is graphically re-captured at the museum.
