Get your skates on this festive season, when Portsmouth's Guildhall Square is transformed into a winter wonderland.
Portsmouth On Ice will see a real, 646sq m ice rink installed in Guildhall Square - big enough for 200 skaters per session.
Skating sessions last for one hour and the price includes all hire. Families are welcome and there will be special ticketing options for individuals, families and groups. There's even a season pass option for those who want to get out on the ice throughout December.
New for this 2023: Early morning weekday sessions! You can get out on the ice from 9am to 10am on the following dates:
Monday 18 to Friday 22 December
Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 December
Tuesday 2 to Friday 5 January
Skaters with additional educational needs or disabilities can also take part in designated SEND sessions, taking place on:
Sunday 26 November, 11am to 12pm
Wednesday 29 November, 3.30pm to 4.30pm
Wednesday 6 December, 3.30pm to 4.30pm
Wednesday 13 December, 10am to 11am
Saturday 16 December, 10am to 11am
The ice rink is wheelchair accessible at all times.
Plus, 2023 will see the return of the DJ nights! There will be music accompanying the 8pm to 9pm and 9.15pm to 10.15pm sessions on Saturday 2 and Friday 8 December.
Make the most of your trip to the ice rink and enjoy some hot food and drink at the nearby bars and restaurants, or by taking a short walk to Commercial Road, where the Christmas Market will return for 2023.
