Chilterns Walking Festival

The Chilterns Walking Festival invites you to explore the landscapes, locations and legends of The Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Channel your inner explorer (21st century style!) Take your feet to new places, hone long-lost foraging skills, and whip up an Iron Age Feast. From 16 September – 01 October, the autumn programme covers walks, activities and special events including some with a liberal sprinkling of local food and drink. Take a boat for a walk; take a train for a walk, uncover autumn colouring, go storytelling, and experience a few ‘I didn't know that’ moments in the hands of expert local guides. Suitable for experienced and novice walkers alike, there are different lengths and degree of challenge involved. A handy website filter will search for family-friendly, wheelchair accessible and dog friendly options.

There is a full programme of walks, events and activities taking place over the 16 day festival so prices and times vary. There will be weekday and weekend, morning and afternoon options. For full details please check the website for your preferred walks.
