Set in outstanding parkland and beautiful countryside the award-winning market town of Horsham offers a welcoming and attractive environment for shopping, meeting friends, visiting local attractions and eating out.
Walking through the mixture of wide pedestrianised streets, intimate alleyways and landscaped piazzas, it is a delight to explore the specialist shops selling fashion and furnishings, collectors' items and unusual gifts. Swan Walk is the town's modern and busy shopping centre with many well known high street stores. For a more relaxing experience visit the Forum, an attractive and spacious public square where you can shop and enjoy a coffee whilst children play in the water jets in the summer.
Visitors and residents alike are attracted to the continental al fresco style of the town centre. With over 90 bars, pubs and restaurants, cafés and coffee shops to choose from you'll certainly be spoilt for choice. Horsham has been a bustling market town for centuries and still enjoys thriving markets which on Saturdays include local produce and arts and crafts. Specialist markets also visit Horsham including popular annual French and Italian markets. In September the town hosts the launch of the District's month-long Food and Drink Festival when people come from far and wide to enjoy 'The Big Nibble'!
You'll find that one day is not enough to enjoy all that Horsham has to offer. In-between treating yourself to some retail therapy and fine dining why not take a stroll in the magnificent Horsham Park, visit one of the regularly-changing exhibitions at Horsham Museum, catch a show at the Capitol theatre, enjoy a swim in the Pavilions In The Park, play Golf at the nearby Rookwood Golf Course, relax whilst bird watching at Warnham Nature Reserve or just soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant and compact market town.
The next decision to make is when to visit! Horsham hosts a very full calendar of events throughout the year. The Easter Piazza Italia, May Day of Dance, July French Fest, Summer Party in the park, the October Town Centre Festival and many Christmas festivities are just some of the many and varied events that are held.
