Close to Henley on Thames, Marlow and a stone’s throw from London, is the ancient home of the Stonor family, dating back to the twelfth century, this has been their family home for over 850 years. Nestled in a Chiltern Valley the house dominates a magnificent view of the beautiful deer park and woodland.
One of the greatest advantages of Stonor Park as a wedding venue is the sheer choice of locations throughout the park. Ranging from the formal Lawns and gardens close to the house to The Hilltop; a wonderful, fun location which provides one of the most romantic views across the Chiltern Hills and Oxfordshire countryside. The Hilltop is a perfect site for Woodland Weddings. We would be delighted to invite you to Stonor to see what the park can offer for your perfect day.
Setting Ideas
·The Lawns - Located at the front of the house, The Lawns have been the first choice for marquee weddings for many years with a backdrop of the mellow brick, rose covered house and chapel.·The Italianate Pleasure Garden - Backed by lily ponds and fountains, this is a perfect location for a champagne drinks reception. ·The Park - The Park offers a variety of aspects and both sheltered and open areas for a perfect wedding.·The Hilltop - The Hilltop affords the most perfect view of the Stonor valley and is the ideal location for a village of bell tents, giant teepees and burning braziers to create a magical Woodland Wedding on a Summer’s night.
