Countdown to London 2012 Olympic Games

Come for the Games...

South East England is gearing up to share the action in 2012 with four London 2012 Olympic Games events happening in the region.

·  Dorney Lake in Buckinghamshire will host the Rowing, Paralympic Rowing and Canoe Sprint

·  Box Hill in Surrey will form part of the route for the Olympic Cycling 

·  Weymouth & Portland will host the sailing competition for the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games

·  Brands Hatch, near Sevenoaks in Kent, will host the Paralympic Road Cycling events, incorporating the Road Race and Time Trial, from 5-8 September 2012.

Added to that, the South East is pleased to be hosting 40 international groups at Training Camps around the region, including 7 at Stoke Mandeville. There will also be Olympic Torch Relay events at 11 destinations across the region.
