The Cottage is at Lee Common, a village in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Cottage adjoins the main house but is completely private and self -contained with its own courtyard entrance.
Chesham Station, on the Metropolitan Line, is under 4 miles away; and Great Missenden station with its Chiltern Main Line is also under 4 miles away. By rail we are about 45 minutes from London, Marylebone Station. By car, we are less than an hour from Windsor and maybe a little more than 1 hour from Oxford. Car parking is very secure, well away from the road, with a deep driveway to park right next to the cottage.
The accommodation is all on one level with a 9cm high doorstep and a 25 cm step into the shower and includes a sitting room, double bedroom, shower room with toilet and wash-basin; and also a small but well-equipped kitchen. It is central heated from October 1st to May 1st and has a small electric radiator for chilly summer evenings.
The Lee and Lee Common are glorious villages surrounded by woods with many public footpaths. There is a village shop which sells almost everything. Great Missenden is the home of the Roald Dahl Museum (well worth a visit).and there are good restaurants in nearby Amersham and Wendover. Last but not least, this is Midsomer Murders country and the site of many of its productions.
The price is fully-inclusive of power and all linen including towels etc.
