Priory Bay Hotel
Just two and a half hours from London, Priory Bay Hotel is a quintessential English country house boasting: spectacular views across The Solent sea; a picturesque private beach; a 70 acre estate (a haven for wildlife, red squirrels, flora and fauna); an outdoor pool; an excellent six-hole golf course, falconry courses, helipad and wonderful coastal walks. The hotel features two award-winning restaurants: the fine dining Regency-muralled Island Room, and the brasserie-style Priory Oyster with alfresco terrace. Both showcase innovative cuisine featuring home-grown and local Island produce.
The hotel sits atop a small valley with spectacular views to the mainland and East Solent. Each of the eighteen bedrooms has their own very distinctive character and are superbly furnished retaining many of their original features. The principal rooms have views across the extensive grounds (there are also two family rooms within the house which sleep 4 respectively). The two Tithe Barns (each accommodate 6 people), The Cluniac Cottage (9 people) and The Coach House (10 people) are also ideal for families. Designer yurts with ensuite bathrooms are also available within the grounds and above the beach - each with their own private terrace and stunning views out to sea. The hotel also has two modern self-catering cottages, Coach House (VisitEngland 5 Stars Gold Award) and Cluniac Cottage (VisitEngland 4 Stars Gold Award).
At Priory Bay guests are offered the fantastic opportunity to charter Infanta - a magnificent two-masted yacht: either for a little relaxing sightseeing by sea (with Champagne and picnic hamper) or for the more active – some fantastic sailing with a crew. For those needing rest and relaxation there is a selection of in-room holistic beauty therapies and massage treatments, or guests can simply sit back and enjoy Priory Bay’s perfect fusion of coast and countryside - with its 70 acres of mature woodland, lawns, gardens and picturesque, sandy private beach. Priory Bay is the perfect tranquil retreat, but also close to a host of key attractions and events on the Island - Queen Victoria’s favourite royal family residence and final home Osborne House is also situated just 20 minutes away from the hotel.
Priory Bay is the perfect location for holidays. short breaks, conferences and weddings - and is the only hotel in the UK where couples can get married on a private beach - the spectacular Priory Bay.
