Pitlands Barns

About

Pitlands Barns is an 1844 Sussex flint barn converted into three luxury self catering holiday homes all furnished to the highest standards and is situated on a working farm in the heart of the South Downs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The owners are committed to sustainable tourism: all units have air source heat pumps, solar panels, a rainwater harvester and wood burning stoves.

The Granary, sleeps 6, is the most spacious unit and occupies the central part of the barn. Two double and 1 twin room, all with en-suite bath/shower, and all with large full height windows and beautiful views over the woods and farmland. Spacious open plan living area with vaulted ceiling gives a delightful area to relax in front of the wood burning stove. Includes a dining area seating twelve and a well-equipped oak kitchen. Large full height windows at either side of the barn give fabulous views from spacious entrance hall and first floor gallery. Large garden and patio.

The Cart Shed sleeps 4 and occupies the west end of the barn. All on one level, making it suitable for those with limited mobility. Spacious sitting room with vaulted ceiling has a wood burning stove and a dining area seating eight. Large windows and French doors opening out onto the south facing patio and garden area with beautiful views across the farm and woodland beyond. Large well equipped kitchen and a second dining area. Two twin/double bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, the other an en-suite wet room with disabled facilities.

The Stables, sleeps 4, is the smallest and occupies the east end of the barn. Two double/twin ground floor bedrooms, both en-suite. Upstairs, there are beautiful views across the farm and woodlands from cosy open plan vaulted living area. Well-equipped kitchen with dining area for four. A glazed door from the hall way opens onto a patio and spacious terraced garden.
