A fine Victorian country house with commanding views over the South Downs, South Lodge Hotel has undergone a stylish refurbishment and now has 89 beautifully appointed bedrooms and suites including one with its own private open-air hot tub. The fine dining Camellia Restaurant (3 AA Rosettes) and al fresco terrace offers traditionally English cuisine with continental influences. 'The Pass' is the innovative new restaurant situated right in the heart of the kitchen and was awarded 3 AA Rosettes within just four months of opening in November 2008. The 12 elegant private rooms provide a tranquil setting in which to conduct meetings or unique lunch or dinner parties and our extensive wine selection, available by the glass, provides the ideal accompaniment to our award-winning cuisine. Numerous leisure facilities are available in or around the hotel, including a well-equipped fitness centre, clay-pigeon shooting, archery, team building, tennis, croquet, putting, motorised sports, horse riding as well as two championship 18 hole golf courses at the hotel's sister property, Mannings Heath Golf Club, just a five minute drive away - guests receive preferential green fee rates.
Hotel has 5 AA stars, 3 AA rosettes for both restaurants, 3 RAC merit awards and an RAC Gold Ribbon award.
