Strand House
Guest Accommodation
AwardStrand House lies just outside the ancient town of Winchelsea and two miles from the historic town of Rye. A Tudor House set in a beautiful woodland garden with views over the marshes to the sea and the Royal Military Canal.
Its 13 rooms provide a mix of historic and modern comfortable styles. Inside the rooms are full of character mixed with modern elegance: an open fireplace in the lounge, bedrooms with oak beams and lattice windows, winding stairs and little nooks and crannies. The bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, colour television, tea making facilities, WiFi access and lots of little extras.
Food is at the heart of the house with a Sussex breakfast in the morning, afternoon tea on the lawn, and in the evening, dinner cooked with local organic meat and fish from Rye Bay. There is a resident’s bar and wines available. It is close to the beach, historic sights, beautiful gardens, steam railways, local walks, cycle routes or bird watching. A house of calm to while away the hours.
