The Laurels Oxford holiday homes are located in picturesque South Oxfordshire, a hidden gem with lots to offer - the city of Oxford is just 15 minutes away, Blenheim Palace and Waddesdon Manor are around 45 minutes from us and le Manoir aux quat'Saisons plus The Crazy Bear are just a 5 minutes car journey.
Tucked away in quiet countryside, we have three separate self-catering homes that are stylishly furnished with a classic country feel combined with traditional ski chalet chic. Each home has been lovingly renovated, retaining many of the original features including timber walls, exposed beams and stone floors.
Each of our homes provides flexible accommodation to suit couples or small groups of friends. Every home has its own private, secure garden and entry to each is via an electric gate. Cars can be parked safely outside each property.
Moonlight Barn is airy and spacious. It comprises 2 bedrooms, one double, one single, on the first floor and a day bed in the living area on the ground floor. There are 2 sizeable shower rooms, one on each floor. The open-plan kitchen is fitted with modern appliances including oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, oven, induction hob, cooker hood and dishwasher as well as a large island. There’s also a utility room with a second fridge, washing machine and tumble drier. The comfy sitting room has a 55” Smart TV as well as sound bar for music. Moonlight Barn is in its own private grounds and the gardens face both south and west. A barbecue and fire pit can be found on the patio for use on a warm summer’s evening.
Orchard Barn is bright and open-plan living on the ground floor. The fully equipped kitchen features a lovely island with seating at one end which makes food preparation more of a social affair. Appliances include fridge/freezer, over, microwave, induction hob, cooker hood and dishwasher as well as a filter coffee machine. The utility room has a washing machine and the tumble drier is in its own drying room. There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor all with king-sized beds. The master bedroom has its own large, ensuite shower room. There’s a second shower room on the first floor as well as a third shower room on the ground floor. Orchard Barn is set in its own secure, private grounds and is surrounded by fruit trees. Bi-fold doors open onto a large patio complete with fire pit and barbecue.
The largest of the barns, Owl Barn, can sleep up to 10 people in 5 good-sized bedrooms, all with their own shower rooms. 2 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and are suitable for those less able and struggle with stairs. The remaining 3 bedrooms are on the first floor. Owl Barn has a lovely large kitchen and dining area complete with relaxed seating. French doors open onto a west-facing patio which comes with a barbecue and fire pit. There’s a sitting room area at the opposite end of the kitchen area and this has a 55” Smart TV and sound bar. There’s also a second sitting room on the first floor which has also has a Smart TV. For those who may have to work whilst away, there’s a lovely study for some peace and concentration. Owl Barn is situated in its own, private grounds with parking for up to 5 cars.
We're located along a small country track which is ideal for walkers who can access the path from the barns’ gates as well as cyclists who want to get out and explore the country roads in this picturesque part of the county. We're close to the Thames Path and the Oxfordshire Way as well as King Alfred's Way and the Chilterns Cycleway.
Turn up, kick off your shoes and do nothing for a week if you're in need of relaxation in a quiet environment. Our holiday homes are warm and comfortable with all modern conveniences including super fast fibre broadband installed directly into each building as well as underfloor heating throughout, powered by efficient Swedish heat pumps.

City11 bus from Oxford to Watlington/Watlington to Oxford which is an hourly service Mon - Fri. Bus stop is conveniently located at the end of the drive. The stop is Piccadilly Cottage.
Take the B480 from Stadhampton towards Watlington. Approximately 1 mile from the small roundabout in Stadhampton, turn left at the mini crossroads and follow the hard surface track for approximately 700 metres. Do not turn left half way down the track towards Belchers Farm. Stay on the track and keep going until you see a gate with the name Poplars on the RH gatepost. The Laurels Holiday Cottages are a little further down the track on the left-hand side.
